The kurta is cut from soft mull cotton, light enough to breathe through a Mumbai afternoon. The sleeves are kimono — cut in one piece with the body from a dropped shoulder, so there is no seam at the shoulder point and the whole top hangs soft and easy. A plain round neck, a straight level hem, and deep side slits that let it move.
The palazzo is the same mull cotton and the same stripe, cut straight and wide through the leg.
The dupatta changes the register. It is chiffon — sheer, weightless, printed in the same stripe so it reads as part of the set rather than an addition. Worn over one shoulder it falls in a long line down one side, and the light passes straight through it. Small latkans finish each corner.
Every edge on the set is plain and cleanly finished. No lace, no trim, nothing added. The cloth does the work.
